Join us for an exciting IAA cultural outing on Saturday, March 7 to enjoy a performance of Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly in HD on the big screen, sung in Italian with English super titles. The LIVE transmission of Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" will be shown for one day only on Saturday, March 7. Cristina Gallardo-Domâs, the original Butterfly of the production when it opened the 2006-07 Met season, returns to the title role of the late Anthony Minghella's stunning production. Marcello Giordani stars as Pinkerton. Patrick Summers conducts.
Ticket prices for the performance are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $15 for students.
Following the performance, Neal Gilder, owner of the new Arbor Ridge Vine & Grill in Crestwood will open his doors early, about 4:30 PM, to welcome the IAA group with a special offering of appetizers, entrees, wine and beer, all at modest prices (entrees about $14 to $18). Arbor Ridge is located at 6402 Westwind Way (take the 329 By-Pass, east from Exit 14 off I-71, turn right into Westwind Way). It’s less than 10 minutes from Tinseltown and handicapped accessible.
Since Met, HD performances at Tinseltown usually sell out, we will be purchasing tickets in advance, no later than Friday, February 27.
